10 world's biggest and most amazing holes ...!!!
Mirny Diamond Mine, Siberia
Darvaza Gas Crater, Turkmenistan
n 1971, geologists discovered a massive underground deposit of natural gas on this site. Whilst excavating the hole to tap the gas, the drilling rig collapsed leaving a massive hole. To prevent poisonous gasses from escaping, the hole was allowed to burn. It continues to burn to this day and has done so without ceasing.
Diavik Mine, Canada
The Diavik Mine is a mine in the Northwest territories of Canada. The mine (opened in 2003) produces 8 million carats or about 1,600 kg (3,500 lb) of diamonds every year.
Monticello Dam, California
The Monticello Dam is a dam in Napa County, California, United States most noted for its large circular spillway with a rate of 48,400 cubic feet per second.
Bingham Canyon Mine, Utah
The Bingham Canyon Mine is a copper mine in the Oquirrh mountains, Utah. The mine is 0.75 mile (1.2 km) deep, 2.5 miles (4 km) wide. It is the world’s largest manmade excavation.
Great Blue Hole, Belize
The Great Blue Hole is an underwater sinkhole off the coast of Belize. The hole is 1,000 feet across and 400 feet deep. It was formed as a limestone cave during the last iceage.
Sink hole, Guatemala
In 2007, a 300 foot deep sinkhole swallowed a dozen homes in Guatemala - killing 2 and causing thousands to be evacuated. The sinkhole was caused by rains and an underground sewage flow.
Chuquicamata, Chile
Chuquicamata is an open pit copper mine in Chile. It is the mine with the largest total production of copper in the world - though it is not the largest copper mine. The mine is over 850 meters deep.
Udachnaya Pipe, Russia
The Kimberley Diamond Mine (also known as the Big Hole) holds the (disputed) title of being the largest hand-dug hole in the world. From 1866 to 1914 50,000 miners dug the hole with picks and shovels, yielding 2,722 kg of diamonds. Attempts are being made to have it registered as a world heritage site.
The Udachnaya Pipe is a diamond mine in Russia. The owners of the mine plan to cease its operations in 2010 - in favor of underground mining. The mine was discovered in 1955 and is over 600 meters deep.

The Mirny Diamond Mine is 525m deep and has a diameter of 1200m. It was the first, and one of the largest, diamond Pipes in the USSR. It is now abandoned. While it was still operational, it would take two hours for trucks to drive from the top to the bottom of the mine.

Build Muscle In Four Easy Steps..!!
Are you sick and tired of everyone telling you a different way to build muscle? Are you unhappy with how you look in the mirror? Are you frustrated with your slow progress in the gym? Are you ready to learn five simple steps that will teach you how to build muscle safely and effectively?
There is a good chance that you are not maximizing one of these four steps. Your problem and solution lies in correcting these essential steps before you have any chance of building a muscular and lean physique.
Get read to learn how to build muscle in four simple steps, in less time, without any drugs and without bogus supplements.
Step #1
Committ to lifting weights at least three to four times per week. Your goal is to stimulate your muscles with resistance (stress) which results in your muscles growing bigger to avoid the stress from occuring again. Once you go home, let the muscle heal through nutrition and rest, it will grow bigger and you will repeat this process again. Ideally you should hit your muscles once every 72 hours so you could perform 2 upper body workouts per week and 2 lower body workouts per week.
Step #2
Focus on eating at least 5-7x a day with balanced meals from carbohydrates, proteins and fats. If your goal is to build muscle than you should be eating at least 15-18 x your current body weight. Your carbohydrates should equate about 45% of your intake, your proteins should equate about 35% of your intake and your fat should be the remaining 20% of your intake. You should focus on over half of those meals being solid whole food meals and the remainder can be liquid meal replacment shakes.
Step #3
You should focus on stretching at least half the amount that you lift weights. One of the biggest mistkakes I see is people training, training and training with out any stretching. Stretching helps restore normal length to the tissue and if you are constantly training, your muscle tissues will shorten and big to perform weaker and slower and have a higher incidence of injuries. So if you are lifting weights 4 hours in the week, at least an additional 2 hours should be dedicated to stretching. You must counteract the shortening of the muscle tissues that occurs with weights or else you are a injury screaming to happen.
Step #4
Avoid supplements that have not been around for longer than 3 years. I learned this phisophy from an Australian strength coach who recommended not trying any supplement until it has been around at least 3 years to pass the test of time. This will make your life much easier and help you avoid all the marketing hoopla in the latest fitness and bodybuilding magazine. If you follow this rule, you will discover only a small handful of supplements still standing. Here are the ones you should not go with out: a high quality multi-vitamin, fish oil capsules, powdered creatine and a protein powder. These products will cover your nutritional basis for health, healthy body composition, strength and muscle mass.
Change your lifestyle to live to a ripe old age
New research shows that how you live your life and not your genes determine how long you live.
Those who did not smoke, consumed moderate amounts of coffee, were economically well off by 50 and also had low cholesterol had the greatest chance of celebrating their 90th birthday, according to a study in Sweden's University of Gothenburg.
'Our study shows that hereditary factors don't play a major role and that lifestyle has the biggest impact,' said professor emeritus Lars Wilhelmsen, referring to the study of 1,913 men that formed the basis of the research, the Journal of Internal Medicine reports.
'We're breaking new ground here,' Wilhelmsen said.
'Many of these factors have previously been identified as playing a role in cardiovascular disease, but here we are showing for the first time that they are important for survival in general,' he added.
Mortality is not 'inherited' but instead it is the sum of our own habits, according to the study.
'The study clearly shows that we can influence several of the factors that decide how old we get,' says Wilhelmsen.
'This is positive not only for the individual, but also for society as it doesn't entail any major drug costs.'

Heart disease No. 1 cause of death in South Asia
Heart disease has become the top killer in South Asia, and people are likely to suffer heart attacks earlier in life than in the rest of the world, a World Bank report said Wednesday.
It said chronic illnesses such as heart problems, cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure have now replaced infectious diseases as the region's largest health problem.
Life expectancy in the region is currently 64 and is rising, thanks to poverty reduction. But many South Asians will face health challenges in their twilight years because of the cost of chronic disease treatment and the long-term impact of impoverished childhoods when they did not have enough to eat, according to the report on tackling noncommunicable diseases in the region.
"Gestational and childhood under-nutrition rates are very high in South Asia, increasing the susceptibility to heart disease/diabetes at older ages," Dr. Michael Engelgau, co-author of the report, said in an e-mail.
He said it's not entirely understood why South Asians face heart attacks earlier in life — whether genetics or environmental factors play the bigger role. But the World Bank highlighted a separate 2008 study that compared 52 countries worldwide, finding that people in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are likely to experience their first heart attack at age 53, versus 59 elsewhere in the world.
Engelgau said part of the problem hinges on differing lifestyles. South Asian diets are typically high in cholesterol and salt and contain fewer vegetables, especially in urban areas. People tend to have higher blood pressure and have become more inactive, resulting in obesity.
Heart disease, the No. 1 killer of South Asians aged 15-69, has long been a problem in developed Western countries where fatty, sugary diets are combined with a lack of exercise. It is the leading killer of both men and women in America, where someone dies roughly every minute from a heart attack, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"It took almost 200 years for the U.S. and the U.K. to reach this high state of cardiac disease, which we are reaching in 40 or 50 years or so because of the rapid economic transition that's occurring, and all the other changes that are happening within one's life span," said Dorairaj Prabhakaran, director of the Center for Chronic Disease Control, a nonprofit research organization in India.
But South Asia also is home to the world's largest number of poor people, with more than 1 billion — some two-thirds of the population — living on less than $2 a day. And while chronic ailments are now the region's largest health problem, infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria, along with deaths linked to maternal, child and nutrition, remain a dual problem in many countries.
Chronic diseases are more expensive to treat and can drag on for years, which many developing countries with poor health systems are ill-equipped to handle. Patients often pay for treatment out of their own pockets, driving already-poor families into extreme poverty.
The report called on countries in the region — Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka — to step up preventative measures such as promoting anti-tobacco campaigns, lowering salt intake and providing better access to generic medications that lower blood pressure and cholesterol.

5 ways to lower your cholesterol....!!!
Lowering cholesterol is one of the most imperative things to do to promote overall heart health. And now Metamucil and Dr. Michael Roizen, Chairman of the Wellness Institute at Cleveland Clinic and host of the upcoming PBS series, "Younger You," have suggested five things you need to do to lower your cholesterol.
Take Psyllium. The first, and one of the simplest tips, is to get more fiber in your diet - but not just any kind, because not all fibers work the same way. Viscous soluble fiber like psyllium fiber, the natural dietary fiber found in Metamucil, is proven to help lower total and "lousy" LDL cholesterol because it forms a thick gel that traps and helps remove some cholesterol, bile acids and waste in the gut. This is why I recommend my patients supplement low fat, low cholesterol diets with 7 grams of soluble fiber from psyllium daily, as in Metamucil.
Wear a Pedometer and Increase Daily Activity
You'd be amazed to see how many extra steps you can take in one day -- grab a pedometer and watch the numbers roll as you make simple changes for your health and take the stairs, walk to work, or stroll around the neighborhood to increase your physical activity for better heart health. Tracking your progress throughout the day can be great inspiration to keep going, and walking is a simple and easy type of exercise to help lower cholesterol!
Get an Exercise Buddy
A healthy lifestyle requires motivation, encouragement and a friend to lean on. Grab an exercise buddy and support each other in the challenge to lower your cholesterol. Take long walks together and encourage each other to try new types of physical activity to get the heart pumping and to keep cholesterol levels down! Enjoy each other's company and laugh - reduced levels of stress will help your heart too!
Beware of Hidden Fats and Sugars
Be an informed eater; get to know your ingredients and read the nutrition labels thoroughly. Hidden sugars and unhealthy ingredients can increase your weight, which can lead to high cholesterol. Stay away from foods that contain high levels of saturated fat, cholesterol and hidden sources of sugar such as high fructose corn syrup, some dextrins, or evaporated cane juice.
Add DHA
DHA is short for docosahexaenoic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid. Regular intake of DHA can aid in proper heart function and help lower levels of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), or the "lousy" cholesterol3, and raise levels of High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), or the "healthy" cholesterol. Popular sources of DHA are salmon, sardines, tuna - but if you aren't a seafood fan, try fish oil supplements, or if you don't like fishy taste, et them from vegetarian supplements made from algal DHA.
